Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway

Montreal, Maine and Atlantic Railway was a railroad company operating in northeastern Canada and the United States, primarily serving Maine and Quebec. It became widely known for the Lac-Mégantic derailment and explosion in July 2013, which caused significant casualties and environmental damage. The company filed for bankruptcy in 2013 and ceased operations in 2014.
