History
Prior to 1982, Mitsui Seiki machine tools were sold in North America by a machine tool importer. In 1982, the parent company, Mitsui Seiki Kogyo Co., Ltd., established a wholly-owned subsidiary, Mitsui Seiki (U.S.A.), Inc., with headquarters in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. The main factory in Kawajima, Japan, was built in 2001.
