In 2013, the idea of creating a company was strengthened to comprehensively support automation processes in national libraries. The company name MetaBiblioteca was chosen, with 'Meta' from the Greek preposition and prefix meta- (μετά-) meaning 'after' or 'beyond', and 'Biblioteca' complementing the prefix to indicate everything about libraries or beyond libraries.
