Founded in 2007 by a tenth great grandson of John Alden, beer barrel cooper on board the Mayflower, the brewery is dedicated to celebrating the history and legacy of beer in America by creating unique, high-quality ales and lagers. It brews and packages all of its beer at its brewery in Plymouth and uses only traditional brewing methods and ingredients. The product line includes year-round beers, seasonal beers, and small batch releases. The beer is packaged in kegs and cans and distributed in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine and New York City. In 2025, Hog Island Beer Company announced the acquisition of Mayflower Brewing Company.
History

In 2025, Hog Island Beer Company announced the acquisition of Mayflower Brewing Company, which includes the full operation of Mayflower’s Plymouth, MA brewery and taproom, as well as their Beer Garden collaboration with The Pinehills on the Village Green, also in Plymouth.
