Overview
Luch Design Bureau, formally known as the State Kyiv Design Bureau Luch, is a Ukrainian defense-design organization based in Kyiv. History
Luch Design Bureau was established in Ukraine in 1965 and initially became known for automated control and diagnostics equipment for aviation weapons. Its first major work included the PPP-3SM and PPP-3SAM mobile missile-preparation positions, which supported manually or automatically controlled air-to-air missiles. Between 1965 and 1969, the bureau developed the SAK-46 automatic control system and the AKIPS-80 mobile test station for air and anti-submarine missiles.
