History
Construction of the first shopping center in the region began in 1961 under the name Centre commercial de Trois-Rivières. Construction was completed in 1971. In 1980, a major expansion added 40 new stores, increasing the number of shops from 55 to 95, and the center adopted the name Le Carrefour Trois-Rivières Ouest. Major renovation and beautification works were carried out in 1989. In 2003, new big-box stores appeared, including Wal-Mart, Uniprix, Futur Shop, and Jeans Dépôt. From 2006 to 2009, several new stores joined existing banners, such as Les Ailes de la mode, Le Buffet des Continents, and L'Aubainer.
