History
Hollymatic Corporation was founded during the economic depression days of the 1930s by Harry H. Holly. After working as a structural iron worker, he opened a hamburger shop with his wife in Calumet City, Illinois. He built a patty machine from wood and patented it a year later. In 1937 he sold his restaurant business and concentrated on building steel versions. In December 1982, the company moved from Park Forest, Illinois to Countryside, Illinois.
