Gisan

Gisan Shipyard, also known as Gisan Tersanesi, is located in Tuzla, Turkey. The shipyard's roots trace back to 1960 when Mehmet Oyar opened a workshop in Haliç. In 1982, operations moved to Tuzla. Since then, the shipyard has built over 65 ships and repaired over 300 ships. It has the capacity to build commercial cargo ships up to 26,000 DWT, including dry bulk carriers, chemical and product tankers, as well as dredgers, tugboats, and ro-ro passenger ships. The shipyard also has a floating dock capable of repairing ships up to 8,000 lightship tons.

Gisan Tersanesi's roots and development are closely related to the birth of the Turkish ship industry. In 1960, Mehmet Oyar (nicknamed Çanak) opened a workshop in Haliç where he and his workers repaired small ships. By 1982, all activities were moved to Tuzla, and since then, Gisan Tersanesi has built more than 65 ships and repaired more than 300 ships.
