Frappe is a collective with a loose structure of a for-profit company. It builds free and open-source software, including ERPNext, Frappe Framework, Frappe HR, and other products. The founder is Rushabh Mehta.
History
Frappe started as a project to build an ERP system. In 2006, Rushabh Mehta began writing his own ERP after a bad experience with a vendor. He started his own company in 2008 to productize the ERP. In 2010, the project was named ERPNext and launched on a SaaS business model.
