It allows self-employed individuals and companies to create invoices and offers, digitally capture receipts, assign payments, and prepare their bookkeeping for tax advisors. The company was founded in 2011 and has convinced more than 70,000 customers.

FastBill GmbH started in 2011 to develop a simple tool that makes bookkeeping as easy as possible for freelancers and small companies. The software FastBill is a cloud-based program for invoicing and accounting. Over time, the product was developed step by step, and recurring processes around bookkeeping were simplified, digitized, and automated. The company has convinced more than 70,000 customers. FastBill is still an owner-managed company. Founder René Maudrich continues to lead the company, with Benjamin Krischner as co-managing director. The office is located at the Frankfurt trade fair. Since at least 2022, FastBill has been working according to a remote-first approach.
