Curia is a global contract research, development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) offering products and services across the drug development spectrum. It was founded in 1991 as Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (AMRI) and later renamed to AMRI, then to Curia. The company operates an integrated network of 20+ facilities and 3,000+ professionals across North America, Europe, and India.

Curia was founded in 1991 as Albany Molecular Research, Inc. (AMRI) by Thomas E. D’Ambra, Ph.D. In 1999, it became a publicly traded company on the NASDAQ. In 2007, it changed its name to AMRI. In April 2014, it acquired Cedarburg Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and in July 2014, it acquired Oso BioPharmaceuticals Manufacturing. The company is now known as Curia.
