Cofem

Cofem is a brand that develops, manufactures, and markets integrated fire safety solutions. The company was founded in 1973 by Daniel Fernández and M. Dolores Moreno, who initially opened an auto parts store in Barcelona before shifting focus to fire protection. Cofem produces its own technology and software, and exports to countries on four continents.

Cofem's history begins in 1973 with the vision of Daniel Fernández and M. Dolores Moreno, who opened an auto parts store in Barcelona. A market study on car fire extinguishers led them to focus on fire protection. In 1975, they began initial fire protection engineering studies, and in 1981 they acquired their first industrial building in Rubí (Barcelona) to expand production. In 1982, the Electronic Detection division and R&D department were created, leading to the production of detectors and electronic control panels. In 1995, the second generation joined with Magnolia Fernández, and a department was created.
