The Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q) was a Class I railroad operating from the 19th to 20th century, connecting Chicago, Denver, Seattle, and other cities. It was known for its efficient operations and quality service. In 1970, CB&Q merged with the Northern Pacific Railway, Great Northern Railway, and Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway to form Burlington Northern Railroad.
