Bonnie Brae Ice Cream was established in 1986. It was founded by friends Ken and Judy Simon and Bob and Cindy Pailet, who thought it would be fun to open an ice cream shop, a 'happiness business.' Judy's childhood memories of making homemade ice cream motivated her to take a course at Utah State University to master making small batches of house-made ice cream. Ken and Bob oversaw the original construction and now handle maintenance and business aspects, while Cindy is the behind-the-scenes administrator. From the beginning, the owners' children have been integrated into the business and are now taking an active role in day-to-day operations.
