Bültjer Bootswerft

Bültjer Bootswerft is a traditional wooden shipyard located in the harbor of Ditzum on the Ems. It has been family-owned since 1899 and specializes in high-quality traditional wooden boat building. The yard builds new fishing cutters, traditional sailing ships, and yachts, and also performs repairs and restoration of inland and sea vessels.

Since 1899, the Bültjer shipyard has been family-owned and stands for high-quality traditional wooden boat building. In the East Frisian fishing village of Ditzum, over 250 new builds were produced from 1928 to 2019, with exclusively fishing vessels until 1958. Since the 70s and 80s, the boat builders on the Ems have been reconstructing old ship types such as schooners, tjalken, Finkenwerder cutters, and peat barges for clients from the Netherlands, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, and East Frisia. Old commercial vessels and fishing vessels are also converted or expanded into individual leisure boats.
