History
The company was founded by Hideo Ihara as Asahi Industries Office in Adachi, Tokyo in 1945 (Showa 20). In 1949, it began manufacturing and exporting architectural hardware, plumbing fixtures, and household hardware. In 1951, it was incorporated as Asahi Industries Co., Ltd. In 1965, it absorbed its affiliated company Yashio Sangyo Co., Ltd. (established 1961, started pickling and painting). In 1968, it expanded painting factory and product warehouse, and installed a baking conveyor line. In 1969, it established an electro zinc plating factory and a semi-automatic static electro zinc plating line. In 1978, it established a hot-dip zinc plating factory. In 1987, current president Toshio Ihara became representative director. In 1997, it acquired Japanese Industrial Standards certification.
