History
The company's core team entered the satellite positioning monitoring industry in 1998. Shenzhen Yuwei Information Technology Development Co., Ltd. was formally established in June 2005. In 2008, it provided vehicle monitoring for the Olympic Games Organizing Committee, and in 2010 for the World Expo Organizing Committee. In 2013, the Wuhan R&D center was established. In 2014, following the Ministry of Transport's Order No. 5, the company's installation volume ranked among the top for nationwide freight vehicle recorders. In 2015, leaders of the Ministry of Transport praised Yuwei at a road transport conference. In 2017, the company participated in two national key R&D programs and established the Xi'an R&D center. In 2018, after the Chongqing Wanzhou falling-bus accident, Yuwei sent an expert group to assist the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Transport in restoring the truth of the accident. In 2019, Yuwei's National VI T-BOX adapted to the most commercial vehicle models in the industry. In 2020, Yuwei's products appeared in CCTV news during the pandemic. In 2021, it became a gold partner of Alibaba Cloud. In 2022, it became a Guangdong Province specialized and innovative enterprise. In 2023, it became a national-level specialized and innovative 'little giant' enterprise.
