Riley-based cars won the 24 Hours of Daytona repeatedly, including victories in 2005 with SunTrust Racing, in 2006 through 2008 with Chip Ganassi Racing, in 2009 with Brumos Racing, in 2010 with Action Express Racing, in 2011 with Chip Ganassi Racing, and in 2015 after the formation of the United SportsCar Championship. The range of engine partners—Pontiac, Lexus, Porsche, BMW, and Ford—illustrated the platform's flexibility.\n\nIn late 2006, Riley moved its headquarters to Mooresville, North Carolina. The location placed the company within a dense American motorsport cluster and supported its manufacturing and team activities. During the late 2000s, the company broadened its work beyond prototypes. It developed a Mazda RX-8 chassis for SpeedSource, unveiled a BMW M6 race car, and built and raced a GT2 Chevrolet Corvette in the American Le Mans Series. The Corvette achieved a notable qualifying result at Petit Le Mans in 2009 by leading both factory Corvette Racing cars.\n\nRiley was also involved in the SRT Viper racing program. The Viper GTS-R debuted in American Le Mans Series competition in 2012 and later appeared at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In the 2014 IMSA season, the program won the GTLM team and driver championships, with Kuno Wittmer taking the drivers' title. Multimatic subsequently announced that it would lead the LMP2 program, changing the originally intended division of commercial and engineering responsibilities.\n\nRiley continued to support GT and endurance programs. It fielded Mercedes-AMG GT3 customer cars in IMSA GTD from 2017 and achieved a second-place team-championship result in its first referenced season. The program continued with a single Mercedes-AMG GT3 in 2018, 2019, and 2020; the 2019 campaign included an Endurance Cup title. Riley also entered a Mercedes-AMG GT4 in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge in 2019, winning the Daytona season opener with Jim Cox, Dylan Murry, and Jeroen Bleekemolen. The associated driver pairing later moved to the LMP3 class.\n\nRiley-linked engineering and team activities have appeared in additional categories, including the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge, Super GT's GT300 class through a derivative of the Daytona Prototype known as the Mooncraft Shiden, and proposed track-day machinery. The track-day concept announced in 2008 was intended to use a mid-engine crate engine producing more than 500 horsepower while reducing the operating costs associated with conventional race cars.\n\nIn 2025, Riley assumed a larger operational role in the IMSA SportsCar Championship. Alongside its No. 74 Oreca 07 LMP2 entry, it became the service provider for Lamborghini's No. 63 SC63 GTP car, taking over the program from Iron Lynx.
