History
Twix was first produced in the United Kingdom in 1967[2] at Mars's Slough factory.[3] The name is a portmanteau of "twin sticks".[4] Mars have also labelled the product in speech as the "Twix Cookie Bar".[5] The product was introduced in the United States in 1976 and again in 1979.
