Raffles Hotel is a historic luxury hotel at 1 Beach Road, in Singapore. It was established by Armenian hoteliers, the Sarkies Brothers, in 1887. The hotel was named after British colonial official Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore.[1] It was gazetted as a national monument of Singapore in 1987.
It is the flagship property of Raffles Hotels & Resorts and is managed by AccorHotels after Accor acquired FRHI Hotels & Resorts. Since 2010, the hotel is owned by the Qatar-based and government-owned Katara Hospitality.[2]
