Eltana is a small chain[1] of Montreal-style bagel shops in Seattle, in the U.S. state of Washington.
Description
Montreal-style[2][3] bagels are boiled in honey water[4] and baked in a wood-fired oven.[5] Eltana has also served salads,[6] sandwiches, shakshouka, and Eastern Mediterranean[7] / Middle Eastern cuisine.[8][9]
History
Established in 2010,[10] the business has operated on Capitol Hill,[11][12][13] in the Fremont and Wallingford neighborhoods,[14][15] and in the food court at Seattle Center's Armory in the Queen Anne neighborhood.[16][17]
Reception
Bradley Foster included Eltana in Thrillist's 2013 list of Seattle's eight "sweetest walk-up eat spots".[21] Allecia Vermillion included the business in Seattle Metropolitan's 2022 overview of recommended eateries in Wallingford.[22]
