BHPetrol

'''Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn. Bhd. (commonly known as BHPetrol''') is a Malaysian oil and gas company headquartered in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The company was established in 1964 as BP's Malaysian petroleum marketing operations.[1] BHPetrol currently manages 420 petrol stations through out West Malaysia.[2]

History

The origin of BHPetrol can be traced back to the 1960s when the British Petroleum Company Limited (BP) incorporated their Malaysian petroleum marketing operations on 12 January 1964.[3][1] BP Malaysia operated 240 petrol stations throughout Malaysia.[4] BP later divested from Malaysia as part of their restructuring plan and sold 70% of their share in BP Malaysia to Boustead Holdings for RM456 million on 5 February 2005.[5][6]

On 14 February 2006, BP's petroleum marketing arm were rebranded as BHPetrol, marking BP's official exit from Malaysian petrol marketing.[7][8][9] By August, all BP petrol stations in Malaysia were converted into BHPetrol.[10]
